Summary
In chapter 8 of “Demon Slayer” manga, Tomioka Giyu engages in a battle with the demons Susamaru and Yahaba. Susamaru uses her ball-and-chain to attack Giyu, but he is able to deflect her attacks with his sword.
Yahaba tries to use his arrow manipulation to control Giyu’s movements, but Giyu proves to be too skilled for him. Giyu manages to cut off Susamaru’s arm and destroy her ball-and-chain, but she regenerates her arm and prepares to unleash a powerful attack.
Just as all hope seems lost, Tanjiro joins the battle and attacks Susamaru with his sword. He discovers that Susamaru’s weakness lies in her eyeballs and uses this knowledge to defeat her.
With Susamaru and Yahaba defeated, the demon slayers complete their mission and return to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. Giyu commends Tanjiro for his bravery and skill, but warns him that the journey ahead will only get harder.
