summary
In chapter 1 of “Demon Slayer” manga, we meet Tanjiro, a kind-hearted boy who lives with his family in the mountains. While he is away selling charcoal, his family is attacked by demons, leaving them all dead except for his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon. Tanjiro decides to become a demon slayer in order to find a cure for his sister and avenge his family. He meets Giyu, who offers to take Nezuko to their headquarters to find a cure for her condition. The chapter sets up the premise of the series and introduces us to the main characters.
